Tried out KMP+CMP & publishing the apps to the store ,for the most part it was ok, if you exclude xcode builds. I tried it with 1 of the first apps I ever built
I've interviewed with companies using KMP in prod yrs back, the release part though😬

Other than waiting for an appstore approval for a week now ,this has to be the other bit that drove me nuts, playing around with KMP + CMP has been fun the release of both apps not so much
i love how people are saying "if we write a sufficiently detailed specification, the agent can write all our code"
do you know what writing a sufficiently detailed specification that deterministically maps to what a computer's actions is? it's coding
Lay offs are being handed out like souvenirs and it seems it's my turn.
My employer closed its German office and a ton of talented engineers including myself were laid off 👋🏾.
If you know of anyone in the market for an extremely talented Mobile IC (or EM), send them my way! ❤️
I always had, "learn a new stack"
on most of my todo lists , which now seems irrelevant. AI coding assistant + multiplatform/cross platform makes building anything possible, the question now tends to be what is worth building.
After 8 years of Android KTX, it's being killed.
"The KTX libraries were killed because the adoption of Kotlin has been such a resounding success. All extensions have now been merged directly into their respective main library"

I'm Boris and I created Claude Code. Lots of people have asked how I use Claude Code, so I wanted to show off my setup a bit.
My setup might be surprisingly vanilla! Claude Code works great out of the box, so I personally don't customize it much. There is no one correct way to use Claude Code: we intentionally build it in a way that you can use it, customize it, and hack it however you like. Each person on the Claude Code team uses it very differently.
So, here goes.
