@FlyersAnt I'm in same ballpark with what I think those guys sign for, but I think Tippet is the player getting traded. I don't see them moving Risto to start the season with a rookie playing in the top 4.
@flyboy27nl@Raiderfrank65 They need to be blown away right now to move Risto. They're not going into the season with an unproven rookie penciled into the top 4 D
@Raiderfrank65 If Anaheim doesn't match that leaves them about 11.5M. Assuming the Drysdale reports of about 6-6.5M are true, that's not enough to resign Zegras.
@jackiespiegel93 I think its safe to assume that Briere has a trade to move Tippet worked out pending the outcome of the offer sheet because Flyers won't have the cap space or roster spaces available to both Zegras/Drysdale before even considering Giroux.
@scheminx Give me every team's front office walking up to the podium to congratulate whoever won the Cup and thank the host city for their hospitality over these awkward "celebrity" announcements
@UncleButsy If Howie Roseman made this trade Philly twitter would be praising him and talking about a statue, but Flyers twitter will complain about passing on Lin despite never watching a single game he played in.
So I guess the Philly government has collapsed entirely but what does this mean though for the suburbs though. Because last week a @PennDOTSec crew was working around a pothole on my way to work one morning and said pothole still exists more than a month later despite the repairs
@DylanFMackinnon So he get's in the SB rotation, that's one event every 15 years at best. Final Four, is probably once every 12 years. Forget the weather advantage in some games, is it a smart business decision to spend $6B on a new stadium just to host 3-5 extra "events" in its life span?
@Raiderfrank65 And if taxes were so important than Arizona would have been a destination and so would Columbus instead of teams like the Rangers and Kings. I think Minnesota is on of the highest taxed states too, but apparently that's a destination now.
@Raiderfrank65 I'm not going to deny the tax advantage certain teams have, but those have existed for decades. I think the recent trade requests have more to do with players sick of playing for poorly run franchises. I don't see players begging to go to Seattle where there is no state tax.
