Assam: It’s 03:00 AM and this is Tezpur University.
Students united - voicing against the suppression and dominance of the Authorities.
Vice Chancellor no where seen.

Sonapur, Public Graveyard and Zubeen Garg.
I was scrolling on Facebook when I found a write-up. Once a place where Zubeen rested for a while, this is where he will lie for the last time.
A public graveyard in Sonapur’s Komarkuchi has been identified as the spot for Zubeen Garg’s cremation. His memorial will be built there.
In a magazine named ‘Goriyoxi’, a photo from 12 years ago was published. Zubeen while coming back from a Bihu programme, sat beneath a tree in the public graveyard of Sonapur’s Komarkuchi.
12 years later, he will go back to the same place and rest forever, in peace.
God has written stories. The script is best for the best. Zubeen’s tragic end and what followed later, tell us why he was always special.

Assam: Vice Chancellor of Tezpur University, Shambhu Nath Singh makes a bizarre statement on the students protesting to demand a tribute and mourning for Zubeen Garg.
“Don’t make things funny,” he said to the students.
Such an insensitive comment at the time when the entire state is grieving.
The entire state stood standstill. Nobody called for a Bandh. People chose for themselves.
At least, when the state is mourning, have the courtesy to follow and tribute the icon.
@himantabiswa@ranojpeguassam
This is such a shame. Tezpur University Authorities should bow their heads in shame.
Students are protesting to announce closure as the state mourns the death of Zubeen Garg.
Roads are deserted. People across the nation were shocked when they saw the sea of people around Zubeen today.
@himantabiswa@ranojpeguassam Kindly see how the institutions are deferring the orders during a state mourning. This is shameful.
Assam: State Government announced three days mourning as a tribute to Zubeen Garg.
Here in Tezpur University, the Authorities have decided not postpone their elections, or even cancel their classes.
Let the youth go out. Mourn the grief. Break the shackles. Break the system of stubbornness.
@himantabiswa@ranojpeguassam please hear the students out.
