Interface Craft is now open.
It’s a growing library of resources for those who are committed to crafting experiences and interfaces with uncommon care.
I hope you’ll consider joining:
Everywhere I go on the internet, I keep seeing people say "Oh, I haven't touched code in months!" Well, that's okay 🫡. Just don't forget how to code.
Designers, don't forget how to design too.
a reminder that things take time. it takes time to read, to connect ideas, to ask critical questions, to do things that satisfy your curiosities and standards not anyone else's.
i’ve been wanting to write about how art history concepts connect to software. this is one of those concepts, mined from a college textbook in my google drive.
the web has been quiet for a while.
for the past few months i've been building something to fix that. declarative audio for the web. describe a sound as plain data, play it with one call.

Fitts's Law
- The time required to move to a target is a function of the target's size and distance from the starting point
We can use this law in our interactive element's by increasing their hit areas to make them easier to click.
Simply put, an element, group of elements in an auto layout within a master component could be "Mark as repeatable", "Mark for duplicate". Call it anything. Think @adobe XD's Repeat Grid.
@figma when working with an instance of a master component, you can't duplicate contents of this instance. We've seen many workarounds described over the years and not a single solution has been provided to this much needed feature.
A suggestion for a smoother solution could be: when creating a master component, give the option to mark certain elements repeatable so only those are going to be allowed for duplication.
@UfotUbon This is really awesome, chief. Is it a full project or just these screens?
Thinking of how this danfo illustration would be so cool for things like app icons, empty states etc or even some Lagos street illustrations.
Nice work!
@darasoba Hmm, if you work in a company as a UI/UX Designer, and the company isn't working on a new product or feature, you'd not be sitting there idle except if these things are seen in your company:
1. The UX maturity of the company is very low
2. The company is not innovating...
@darasoba .. you're not innovating or disrupting yourself, you're not talking to customers to discover their unmet needs and the solutions to address them, then am afraid you're not building products the right way or delivering enough value to customers.
@darasoba 3. The company isn't adopting the continuous discovery habit taught by @ttorres and this is usually because of the design maturity of the company.
Digital products are never done, they rather continue to evolve and if as a product company in a competitive marketplace you're not.
