Four people are missing after catastrophic flooding, caused by severe thunderstorms, hit southern Switzerland yet again. Upper Valais, including Saastal, Goms, Zermatt, and Getwing, has been severely affected. The storms caused flooding, landslides, and debris flows in the region. Parts of Ticino, particularly the Maggia Valley, were also badly affected. The Visletto Bridge, connecting Moghegno to Aurigeno, was swept away by the current. Various areas are now inaccessible.
