What interested me the most is about the potential impact on an individual since 2008.
Excuse my ignorance but will there be resident doctors who have been on the same top resident pay point since 2008 (ish) and suffered a personal 21% real terms pay cut for 17 years?
It got me thinking about police pay equity over the same timeframe.
One figure states 16% real terms pay cut since 2009/10.
I can't work out if that's based on RPI (like the doctors' calculation given the link to student loan calculation) or the more usual CPI.
It’s time to hang up the uniform after nearly 32 years; today is my last day in the Royal Navy.
I joined the Royal Navy to see the world and I’ve certainly done that 1/
@ES_News_@dorsetpolice@DorsetPoliceFed This is the kind of brave conduct that 30 or 40 years ago would've been written-up for a medal. I fail to understand why forces don't.
@west_response@Stefi1774 IOPC effectively don't have the ability in law to NFA it because the legal threshold under which they *must* take it to a hearing is so low. To a large extent their hands are tied. Needs a legislative change.
In England and Wales, it is a common law offence to refuse to assist a police officer who is making an arrest and is being assaulted or obstructed, who is witnessing a breach of the peace or who reasonably asks for your assistance. #BackTheBlue

@SevenSixTwoNATO@sherlock_comms His acting was great, and the detail around policework was good too. Had the potential to be a really gritty insight into the stresses and strains of modern policing.
