Good news for Prepaid Mobile Users in India

The Govt just introduced Telecom Consumer Protection (Thirteenth Amendment) Regulations, 2026, consumers will now have:

• 30-day recharge plans, reducing the need for 13 monthly recharges to 12 in a year
• Voice and SMS-only plans for those who do not need data
• More suitable options for low-budget consumers who primarily need basic voice calls

Many of you had shared your concerns with me about limited and inflexible recharge options. I raised this issue in Parliament on 11th March, seeking greater choice and more affordable options for consumers.

I am grateful to the Government of India and TRAI for resolving these concerns in the interest of greater consumer choice and convenience.

You still haven’t explained how the BJP obtained the raw video without The Pamphlet’s logo.
When the Congress or other political organisations share videos produced by news outlets such as The Indian Express, the original branding usually remains. So how did the BJP get an unbranded version of The Pamphlet’s footage?
Is @nirwamehta’s outlet @Pamphlet_in receiving preferential access or favours because its director, @alok__bhatt, is associated with the BJP IT cell?
Imagine the BJP overlooking content from your best friend @UnSubtleDesi’s propaganda outlet, OpIndia, and choosing The Pamphlet instead. 🤣
The Pamphlet should disclose whether this video was commissioned, supplied or funded by the BJP.

The video shared by the BJP handle carries no Pamphlet logo, but the anchor is Chaman Mishra @Chaman_CM, an employee of The Pamphlet.
Was this video commissioned or funded by the BJP? If The Pamphlet routinely questions the funding of other news organisations, shouldn’t it disclose who funds its own content and clarify its relationship with the BJP? @nirwamehta @shivkmishr

Now @Pamphlet_in is being run by Alok Bhatt and it has officially being confirmed after BJP IT cell posted this video.

With Just one error, Pamphlet logo is removed.

The Madhya Pradesh High Court's website records that Justice Sharma's son, who enrolled in 2017, is the standing counsel for the Election Commission of India. He is also the standing counsel for the Central Board of Direct Taxes and the Income Tax Department. His younger son, enrolled in 2020, is also the standing counsel for the MP Public Service Commission.
