Just noticed I captured such a precious moment. 🥹
Two little kids were eagerly trying to get Josh’s attention for a high-five. The second kid was even being filmed by his dad — you could see his huge smile and pure excitement right after his encounter.

A Random Lyft Ride, A New A’TIN in the Making?
An hour from the airport to our hotel thanks to Chicago traffic. 😅
Our Lyft driver started the conversation by asking what brought us to Chicago. We told him we were here for Lollapalooza to see SB19 perform.
That led me to ask what kind of music he usually listens to. He said he prefers upbeat songs, so of course I played “Crimzone.” He instantly started dancing and bobbing his head. 😄
Then I played “VISA” and “Emoji.”
While the songs were playing, I shared SB19’s story—how they sing, dance, write, and produce their own music, and how they’ve worked their way onto the global stage.
Then I switched things up and played “MAPA.” I shared the story behind the song, and it reminded him of his own parents. He opened up and told us he hadn’t seen them in a while because they live outside the U.S.
I also mentioned that SB19 will be featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming animated film The Forgotten Island.
His reaction? “That’s a W! Oh shoot, they’re getting bigger!” 😄
I also told him how, despite all their achievements, SB19 has remained humble. I said that’s one of the reasons so many people root for them—they’re relatable, and they never forget where they came from.
Before we got out of the car, I gave him one of my SB19 business cards with links to their social media and music platforms. He said he’d definitely listen to their songs while driving—especially during his night shifts—and while working out at the gym. 🥹💙
By the end of the ride, he genuinely said he hopes SB19 becomes even bigger and more successful.

The Grammy Museum gave us more than a stage. It gave us another reason to keep dreaming bigger.
Last night was proof that our journey continues and that our mission to bring Filipino music to the world is far from over.
See you on the next global stage. 🌍
