Not everyone who wants a dog should have one.
Some people want a stuffed animal with WiFi.
Dogs are chaos with paws.
Just ask Sunny.
Be honest. Are most people actually ready for a dog?
Confession: I used to think “spoiled dogs” were the problem.
Then I realized most of them are just finally feeling safe, loved, and attached to their person.
Sometimes “spoiled” just means deeply loved.
Has your dog ever changed how you see love?
Dogs act like they haven’t eaten in 3 weeks.
Then you check the clock and realize dinner was 12 minutes ago.
Anyone else living with a professional snack beggar?
The lie: shelter dogs are risky and puppies are safe.
Truth is, any dog needs love, patience, and training.
Shelter dogs can be incredible.
Would you adopt one?
Sunny sleeps in our bed, so I already know who runs the house.
But is letting your dog sleep with you sweet bonding time or a bad habit?
Be honest. Does your dog sleep in your bed too?
Leaving the house is tough when your dog has anxiety.
Sunny still gets anxious when we leave. We grab our keys, and she already knows.
The sad eyes start fast.
Does your dog get anxious when you leave?
Sunny has two moods: adorable little angel and tiny fluffy supervisor.
She follows me around like she’s making sure I don’t mess up her house.
Fair, but the micromanaging is getting intense. 😳
I wish Sunny could talk, but I’m also a little scared.
Because I’m pretty sure her first words would be:
“More treats. Less rules. And why do you leave the house without me?”
Who else wants their dog to talk, but also knows it could get dangerous?
Brutally honest take:
“Everyone deserves a second chance” sounds nice until a scared dog is the one taking the risk.
People can change.
But dogs shouldn’t be used to prove it.
There has to be a line between compassion for people and protection for animals.
Agree or disagree?
Sunny when Dad gets home from work:
Zoomies.
Happy spins.
Tiny tornado mode activated.
To her, every single day is the best day ever.
Honestly, we don’t deserve dogs.
People warned us about shelter dogs.
“They come with problems.”
Then we brought Sunny home from the shelter.
She was scared, unsure, and didn’t know she was safe yet.
We thought we were rescuing her.
Turns out, she rescued us too.
Has a shelter dog surprised you?
With all the designer dog breeds becoming popular…
Is it ethical to keep paying thousands for “perfect” dogs when shelters are full of amazing ones waiting for homes?
Be honest. What’s your stance?
