"Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster... for when you gaze long into the abyss. The abyss gazes also into you."

Please urge citizens not to burn hurricane debris. The Isaias winds had hardly subsided before burning started—just like after Hurricane Sally. There’s an ADEM burn ban in effect, and many still without power have windows open. A reminder would help.
@johnrich I knew it was coming. Al Power is already running the usual ad campaigns about how good they are and how much they look out for citizens. The commercials have already started.
@johnrich Eminent domain is used far too often to advance the agendas of powerful people and companies, steamrolling over regular citizens. Sometimes they take land that families—parents and grandparents—worked for, paid taxes on, and held for generations.
@jeff_poor I don't understand the restriping of the Bayway. Nobody seems to remember this. Three lanes both directions at today's traffic load is a dangerous combination.

@SecDuffy@POTUS This bridge will not span the entire bay. It will connect to the existing 2-lane Bayway Bridge, which is planned to be restriped to 3-lanes in each direction. Does anyone remember this? https://t.co/MLJ9oZKxyY
@TMZ I worked at a small airport—personal planes & some corporate jets.
Days after 9/11, air traffic grounded, on break, a red car pulled up. Four Middle Eastern men asked if we had any aircraft that could reach New York.
They left. Police called.
Still out there as far as I know.
@johnrich Years ago, Southern Co. (parent of AL. Power) would roll into our local airport with a fleet of executive jets. Security in blacked-out SUVs showed up first and took the place over. Pure bullies—treated everyone like dirt under their feet.
@WKRG The camera/surveillance system installed in Baldwin County appears to be installed and run by ProTecVideo, a company owned by a former Baldwin County sheriff’s deputy. The Sheriff’s Department isn’t the only agency with access—other non-law-enforcement departments can use it too.
@CostcoAuto A permanent button on the touchscreen to fully opt out of vehicle tracking and data sharing with the manufacturer — without disabling any existing features — so they can’t keep collecting and monetizing everything I do in a car I already paid for.
@walmarthelp@walmarthelp Follow-up: After dealing with three employees, they somehow processed the core exchange right at the register. So it is possible. Why force customers into two separate lines when the register can handle it?
@walmarthelp Why do customers with a core battery now have to buy the new battery first, then stand in a second line at customer service just to get the core refund? I’ve done this many times and this extra hassle is new. Please fix this.

@1819News Everyone is talking about Flock, and yes, they are a problem and should be removed. But what about the system installed in Baldwin County? Multiple cameras have been put up at many intersections on power poles. I caught this company installing them: https://t.co/aYsFVNsq4Y
