If S.Ct. had said it was jettisoning Gingles and overturning Allen v Milligan, w/good explanations and clear guidance, I would have been happy. Instead, they did both while pretending, disingenuously, to do neither.
With the help of the Supreme Court continuing to show their partisan colors, Alabama has officially re-joined the Old Confederacy. But make no mistake, we intend to build a better Alabama where everyone has a seat at the table.
I'm sure you and George Soros will cook up new ways to try to defraud the public out of millions in legal expenses while undermining the will of Republican voters in conservative states
The Supreme Court made the right ruling today - this is a step in the right direction for Alabamians who want to see a Congressional map that represents their values.
I also want to thank Attorney General Steve Marshall and his team for their work defending Alabama's Constitutional Authority throughout this process.
"The District Court also failed to follow our instruction in Callais that the mere fact that voters of different races vote for different parties is not relevant to proving racially polarized voting patterns."

Another huge win for Alabama. The people of our state deserve to have their elections conducted using maps drawn by those elected to serve them in the State Legislature.
Anything else undermines the will of Alabama voters and the constitutional role of elected representatives.
@Everett14 Do you use that argument when you are in court?
"Your honor, my client was a Boy Scout. Again, you aren't a Boy Scout and commit a federal crime. Anyone who has ever practiced law will tell you this."
"dErP [Manasco] WaS AppOiNtEd bY TrUmP" is the laziest take of all, devoid of any critical analysis — as if the mere mention of an association with Trump means the sanctification of a hyper-partisan Democrat jurist
@Everett14 The federal courthouses and big law firms are full of do-gooder big government elitists.
Just because they don't hang out in your circles of non-profit law doesn't make them "raging" MAGA Republicans
