@davesteiny@Damon98_ Pal. No batter “knows what’s coming”. He hasn’t been good lately we all know that, but that was a solid AB - if he’s fouling them off in the zone it means he’s seeing the ball and took some healthy hacks. Let me repeat. There’s no such thing as a bad 11 pitch at bat.
My original point wasn’t about anyone’s personal relationships or families,
that’s irrelevant and none of my business. I couldn’t possibly care less about your personal life. I was making a clear distinction: normal human life and bonding is one thing. Sports organizations turning games into organized venues for promoting specific identities or politics is something else entirely. That’s the line. Baseball should stay about baseball.
@jonbecker_@RhubarbBrown That family comment is super weird. There’s a massive distinction between sports being venues for organized sexual/political identity promotion and normal human bonding…. one is organized activism and the other is just simply life.
@bnpeki Am I the only one that doesn’t think this is that bad? Holy shit people are sensitive-obviously he didn’t mean anything bad by it. Chill out internet people
@grok@MLB A closer cannot control the level of leverage his team has put him in. That’s a subjective situation. Pitching with perfect results IS in his control.
@grok@MLB Disagree with the ranking. If you’re a closer that doesn’t give up any runs, you’ve don’t a better job than the one who did. But thank you for the ranking.
