Blessed to get to spend time w/ family today. It was a great day, but w/ a heavy heart as I was unable to attend the vigil for Ashton Pryor, a very special player, even better person, & family that is very dear to my heart. Continue to keep the Pryor family in your prayers! #LLAP
Q from a coach:
How do you help a hitter who hits well in the cage but gets paralyzed at the plate, and won’t swing the bat in games?

A short thread 🧵
College athletes, if you are not welcoming freshman teammates with open arms and doing what you can to help and guide them- you’re doing it wrong. You were in their shoes once.
This one goes out to the Parents:
You’re at a showcase. This is showcasing not only your daughter but you. You getting warned or kicked out by an umpire is not appealing. You have now stopped the game & managed to make it about you.
I wouldn’t want that in our stands.
Travel ball rant: yes, it is a time to develop- BUT we need to normalize carrying a higher roster #. Kids have a life outside of softball, commitment is important but not more important than missing big/fam life events. This particular summer is showing it more than ever. (1/3)
Living in sin can cause you a lot of unnecessary anxiety. Repent. God is not trying to trick you. He knows what’s best for you. Stop trying to find life in sin that kills you. Turn to Christ. Confess your sins. Live according to God’s Word and cast your anxieties on Him.
Pray for nonbelievers. Pray for their salvation. Pray for softened hearts. Pray for opportunities for them to hear the gospel preached with boldness and out of love.
