The better thing to do for the devs would be to look at the journal pick out what quests populate a cutscene and then just shorten the MSQ to just that
You lose some nuance but I think it’d be fine

There is a guy in my mentions trying to argue a person could Skip ARR and Heavensward and start at Stormblood and miss nothing important story wise and that a person who did that still has valuable opinions on the story.
