Our courageous postdoc research scientists deserve a strong first contract that expands housing access and meets their childcare needs. There is no research without the researchers.
Proud to stand with @spocuaw 💪🏽
@towfiqueRaj, @panos_roussos and I are very pleased to announce the release of the isoform-centric microglia genetic atlas (isoMiGA), a successor to last year’s MiGA project, now available on medRxiv as a preprint: https://t.co/fBJAg5n5yV
More #SfN23 fun! 🤩
Absolutely thrilled to be a part of this minisymposium among such an incredible lineup of scientists!
If you're in DC, come by tomorrow at 2pm to hear us chat all things circuit mapping! #SfN2023
I si l'espai-temps no fos continu sinó digital❓
Ens ho explicarà l'@EugenioCoccia, director de l'Institut de Física d'Altes Energies (IFAE), en una xerrada organitzada per @HacTeBCN en el marc de l'exposició @digital__impact.

BEAUTIFUL #CallforImages submission by Dr. @_elena_ Coccia! In “Cellular Conversation”, immunofluorescence reveals intricate patterns that #Astrocytes (cyan) & #Neurons (yellow/magenta) create when interacting in a dish. #BAW2023#ArtoftheBrain Image #3 LIKE IT! Mosts🧡s wins!
Excited to share our findings today @Nature. We show impaired cholesterol transport in APOE4 human and mouse brains leads to reduced myelination. Using in vitro myelination assays we identify a drug that improves cholesterol trafficking, myelination, and memory in APOE4 mice.
Tissue chips mimic the function of human organs and are used to study diseases, test medications, & investigate cellular responses to spaceflight stressors. These small devices could help us take the next giant leap while benefiting human health on Earth: https://t.co/V1UNv6bm3V
"We are facing important changes that we must be ready to accept: this is the challenge of the #GSSI, an institute that aspires to excellence and frontier #research." These are the words of Professor Paola Inverardi, the new Rector of the GSSI

This will go down in history as one of science and medical research's greatest achievements. Perhaps the most impressive.
I put together a preliminary timeline of some key milestones to show how several years of work were compressed into months.
New Research: FAIM-L - SIVA-1: Two Modulators of XIAP in Non-Apoptotic Caspase Function: Apoptosis is crucial for the correct development of the nervous system. In adulthood, the same protein machinery involved in programmed cell death can… https://t.co/jQkyL1TSG2 #celldevbio
