Susan Collins new ads start with “Troy Jackson likes to keep it in the family” but doesn’t actually talk about his marriage. Interesting, wonky way to hint at the rumors people are hearing even if not super credibly reported on
🚨BREAKING: Nate Silver’s new forecast just predicted Troy Jackson is on the verge of destroying Susan Collins.
🟦 Troy Jackson: 69%
🟥 Susan Collins: 31%
Was taking about this yesterday and people just don’t really care about Iraq, especially the young people who care most about Palestine. A shame it’s either Moulton or 80 yr old Markey
Israel has committed war crimes. Don't lecture me on what a war crime is, @EdMarkey, when you voted to send me to Iraq to see the horrors of war for myself.

CNN: Troy Jackson ran anonymous account to troll Republicans online
Using an online alias, “Canadians for LePage,” Jackson posted dozens of times on The Bangor Daily News website, according to a CNN analysis, routinely mocking and criticizing LePage at a time when the two were caught in a political fight over Canadian loggers being allowed to work in Maine.

New: Troy Jackson is starting his campaign with a much different focus than the man he’s replacing.
Graham Platner opened the general with Epstein, and he needled Joe Biden during his primary victory speech.
Jackson is zeroing in on Susan Collins.

Totally agree with @BenKrauss5 and also Platner was recruited purely for his aesthetic and ability to champion the policies he was told to, regardless of if he thought about them before. Now, his fall is a pure indictment of those who kept propping him up

Beyond ME Dems saying Platner’s team is trying to put their “thumb on the scale,” which is of course notable, I think the final bit—committing to making the process public only once he’s withdrawn and thus explicitly pressuring him to drop out—is equally striking
Shah supports M4A, champions the “get money out of politics” stuff, and is also liked among those who watched him everyday during COVID as CDC director
It has to be about unifying the party for Maine Dems now. With the national environment and increased partisanship the nominee just has to win ~90%+ of Dem voters and do a B+ job of turning out the base. I think that’s Shah, but could be Bellows or Jackson also
