A while back, I was talking with a friend who'd moved to the US a few years prior
At some point, I said something like "we Americans..." and he froze with shock. He asked, "Wait, do you think of me as American?" Without much thought, I said "Of course!"
He paused for a while and then said, "Wow. Back home no one would ever refer to a recent immigrant that way. Heck, they wouldn't refer to any immigrant that way, even if they'd lived there for decades"
While the US has a lot of problems (many of which are our own making), this moment made me swell with joy and pride for this special place
Happy birthday, America. I'm so proud to be the citizen of a country where, if you choose to build your life here and contribute to your community, you can become an American too 🇺🇸
@thomaslhorrocks Without faith, I have trouble finding hope. Life is sad without hope. Christ, because no other religious figure lived as selflessly for me.
i called 911 this morning because my period cramps were so bad that i was going in and out of consciousness and the male EMT told me it was “probably just a UTI” 🫠
Don’t buy any @Cuisinart products anytime soon. I got their Kitchen Central last year for Xmas and the base motor busted already. Trying to get a replacement is like pulling teeth!Almost I hr on hold for a rep & got nowhere. Sucks that I’m out 3 appliances bc of one crappy part.
You’d think this chick would be pumped to get back a LIVING, AMERICAN human with a FAMILY…but no, let’s make her rot in a scary foreign prison because she *smokes* and *plays basketball* and does other things Candy just doesn’t like. #prolife
Trading a top Russian arms dealer for a pot-smoking female basketball player is peak western leftist philosophy.
Incomprehensibly stupid from a political standpoint.
But as long as it makes people FEEL warm and fuzzy, why not?

About 90% of the US population identified as Christian 50 years ago. Today, that number is down to 64%. If the trend continues, Christians will be in the minority in a few decades.
Is this proof the world hates Christians?
No.
It’s what you get when Christians hate the world.
