However, all of that will stop once Opus 5 is released.

At this point, it is obvious that they are buying time ahead of the launch of a new model.

By doing so, they will avoid losing users and receiving a flood of refund requests that they would have to pay out.

The real question is whether Opus 5 will be able to compete with Fable 5 and GPT-5.6 Sol.

Otherwise, all of this will have been pointless.
