In Justin Taylor’s CT feature in January he wrote: “At the age of 80, Piper works full-time from his home office, answering questions about the Bible and the Christian life through the Ask Pastor John podcast (400 million episode plays over the past 13 years) and through his verse-by-verse video series, Look at the Book (over 1,300 videos so far), with a life goal of working through all the Pauline letters.” Life goal accomplished! Pastor John wrapped up all 13 of Paul’s epistles THIS MORNING by wrapping up Romans. The Romans stats alone: 102 weeks, 403 videos. All to cap what he predicted to be a 10-year project wrapped up in 7. A celebration of God’s sustaining grace in years of slow, steady, verse-by-verse labor in the Bible. And a beautiful testament to big goals.
"Every Sunday since January 18th, a group of agitators harass people on their way to worship. They target children and families." - Cities Church pastor @jonathanparnell
Thanks to @kayleighmcenany and @FoxNews for having Cities Church attorney @doug_wardlow on the show alongside our client.
The city of Saint Paul has officially determined the January 18 invasion of our church and the desecration of our worship to be a “peaceful protest.”
Here’s my question for Mayor Her:
"My parents are fallible goofballs like anyone else. But there is something a bit different about the conversations at my dinner table—and something magical and rare about the people leading them."
Every single day of my childhood, my parents asked the same question at dinner. Not “What did you learn?” but “Who did you serve?”
Wonderful reflections from Ben Sasse’s daughter.

Thanks for the support from so many. I do want to be clear:
Ultimately, our church will be okay. Jesus is risen from the dead. He is our treasure. Heaven is our home.
The issue is that what’s happening is wrong, and it’s the obligation of our elected officials to punish wrongdoing. I’m appealing to that obligation.
Yesterday, @AlphaNews posted a video of an individual who, along with several others, harasses our church every Sunday. (I am not reposting the video because of its obscenity.) By their own admissions, as captured on video, these agitators are deliberately targeting families and children. It is a coordinated effort to desecrate our Sunday mornings.
St. Paul officials are doing nothing to stop it, and the City Attorney will not respond to my emails. We are simply asking for equal protection under the law.
No one is worthy of worship.
I was recently on Ben Sasse’s Not Dead Yet podcast, and man what a great conversation we had. We talked about faith, family, success and so much more. If you don’t know, back in December Ben was diagnosed with stage four metastasized pancreatic cancer and he started this platform to navigate life with his diagnosis. Super proud of this one and being able to chat with two extraordinary guys! Please give this a listen and show your support: https://t.co/lhkWbKhmJe
As the enemy is trying to shut us down, I’m praying that God would double our size.
If you’re interested in faith, new to faith, or a Christian searching for a new church home, join us at Cities Church: 8:30 and 10:30 on Sundays. https://t.co/6qiW9cKsGC
@conservmillen is right.
The senior advisor to the White House Faith Office should be primarily known for their love and loyalty to Christ, not Trump.
Paula White is a false teacher.
If we want a White House that promotes real Christianity, she should be rebuked and replaced.

On Easter morning, April 5, nearly 20 protesters gathered in the green space on Summit Avenue in front of the entrance to Cities Church. They held signs with obscenities and yelled harassing comments at families and individual worshippers. Among them was a speaker blasting music and amplified sound, and at least one protester who used a voice-amplifying device to harass people.
After the St. Paul Police Department issued several warnings related to the noise, they arrested one individual. I am grateful for SPPD’s measured response and their efforts to protect the congregation’s ability to gather and worship peacefully. While similar protests have continued in recent weeks, the people of Cities Church have sought to respond with patience and kindness.
I am disheartened that the charges against the individual arrested yesterday have been dropped. State law protects the right of people of faith to worship in peace, and I call on state and local officials to enforce the law.
But the most important thing is that the gospel remains unchanged: God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. That invitation is open to all.
