@mollyfleck I stopped driving just over 2 years ago since I moved where I can bike/walk/transit for 95% of my time, and the way my stress and anger has dropped in general (still angry about other things) shocked me.
The only acceptable debate topic with your family this Thanksgiving: Were the Mima Mounds created by giant prehistoric gophers?
(Yes, this is an actual theory by actual scientists.)
@GuerillaMemoir I've realized I am 1000% not an every day writer, and the idea that I need to write daily is what always causes me to fail. This year I set a goal to write at least 20 days of the month, and that grace has made all the difference.
@DemsAbroad@DemsAbroadDE Thanks! When I moved, I dropped my last ballot off at the office in WA and they gave me a few stickers to "stock up". I need to find one to wear on Tuesday!
Emailed my overseas ballot in today. I forgot to mail it in a couple weeks ago, and wanted to make sure it got counted on Tuesday. WA voters, happy to help you vote from Germany if you need it. ;) @DemsAbroadDE

One of the odd things about living in Germany is that I've learned you can't trust reviews, because some Germans treat 1 star as the best, and 5 as the worst. So you'll see 1* reviews that say "this is the best product ever!".
Once when I was young, around 8 or so, we had a garage sale. My siblings and I were killing time riding our bikes along the sidewalk and this guy stopped in. But he wasn't there to buy anything.
He went up to my mom, introduced himself and said he'd stopped because he saw us...
Americans don’t need another mega-grocer.
Kroger/Albertsons together would control $1 of every $4 spent on groceries in the US. That’s as big as Walmart, whose power in food has done widespread damage to communities, farmers, food workers, and local grocers.
