Hot take: I don't think you should be able to reserve a table in a pub, and certainly not for a big game. Do your doggies and respect the tradition - get there early or defer to the proper pub types and stand near the bogs, as befitting your fair weather pub status
People will think I'm crazy for this take, but I'm a big believer in the psychological impact of narratives on teams. Yes, Belgium looked so much better tonight and we looked lost. But this team had a boatload of good vibes behind them, and in the last 48 hours that vanished, and replacing it was a story of implicit political corruption that turned them into the bad guys, or at least the beneficiary of the corruption. You can't tell me that doesn't put pressure on the team, change the vibe, and take a psychological toll that impacted what happened on the field. American fans, serious and casual, should be pissed at this interference. We overturned a red card and our reward was losing what made this team so much fun until now.
This would be a terrible decision by the club. He’s one of the few players who’s been honest this season, openly admitting that it's been crap. On top of that, he’s a very good footballer. And cliché or not, you need a Scouser in the team who knows what it means to play for us.
Wirtz is pure class, anyone who watches him can see that, regardless of G + A. That being said I hope thats the first of a load he scores just so everyone can stop chatting shite about him
@LFCTransferRoom How disheartening has this got to be for Elliot if he does come back to us. I understand Slot maybe not wanting to comment on another teams business but at least empathise with the lads situation a little. This just feels alienating.
Mohamed Salah largely gets what he wants with Egypt, speaks when he likes, the world rotates around him and everyone accepts it.
It probably feeds into why he thinks he can occasionally stamp his feet at Liverpool.
His stoppage-time winner against Zimbabwe showed why the national team are prepared to treat him differently from other players.
The question now is whether that approach will enable Salah to drive the Pharaohs to AFCON glory and the international trophy he craves.

Shame to see a competition that will have some of worlds best talent on display just be constantly de- legitimised.
Any AFCON chaos is a bonus, but as a result of some viral clips, people don’t take it seriously
I just don't get how much more he can prove, he comes on and bails him out every single time. Holding a grudge because of one game is vile. Almost bailed him out of the cup final, United at home, palace away. DID bail him out against Bournemouth & Sunderland. There's not much more he can do. It's just strange from the managers end
