I've been trying to stay silent, but I've had enough.

SB19 performed with the sun literally blasting into their faces. No lighting director can control that. They were squinting, sweating, dancing full-out, and still singing louder than their backtracks.

Go stand outside at 3 PM facing the sun. Sing. Dance. Try to keep your eyes open and stay on pitch. FOR AN HOUR!

Only then can you compare that performance to one in a shaded venue with cooler temp, controlled lighting, props, and louder backtracks.

"Pumiyok daw?"
Even the best live performers crack sometimes. That's what happens when you actually sing louder live instead of hiding behind loud backtracks. SB19 has never been afraid to let people hear their real vocals.

Stell? He was still belting those signature high notes under the blazing heat. Filipino throat chakra, indeed. Kung ano boses nila sa mga tiktok covers, ganun din sa actual perf.

The choreography didn't disappear either. They were still hitting synchronized routines, jumps, and high-energy moves while singing live. That's not easy under normal conditions, let alone under DIRECT sunlight.

Hindi naman sobrang init? Aware ba kayo na may nahimatay sa audience? not just one but 2! I mean just think...

Lastly, the crowd wasn't handed to them. It built up naturally throughout the set coz people stayed, watched, and got louder with every song. No fancy props needed, the live vocals, choreography, charisma, Stell's brazillian dance, and crowd engagement were more than enough.

You don't have to like SB19. But if you're going to compare performances, compare them under the same conditions. Otherwise, you're comparing comfort to endurance.

Summary of Taka‘s recent Insta live:

- Taka was sorry because he was a bit inactive on Insta the Asia tour’s situation was a bit overwhelming so 😞
- The upcoming event (国立): this is an “experiment” so other artists in the future able to perform better in there
- UVERworld: their longtime relationship even since before they could pull fans outside Tokyo. Takuya∞ gives him encouragement so Taka could be more confident, he taught Taka so many things
- Being able to invite UVERworld was a full circle moment for him because they once had VS and the organizer said “why don’t you hold an event together!”
- When Taka was injured he called Takuya∞ and he said let’s do it, they never intended to perform in hurry, it’s more like “let’s meet at the highest place later”, not about popularity, more like about respect
- MUFG Stadium: he asked for understanding, that performing in a big venue is not always fun, so many things to consider
- In Japan, the sound regulation is very strict, there’s a decibel limit that can’t be crossed, also consider that sound check is totally different from the actual concert, also the attendant will absorb the sound, the surrounding contributes too, and stadium is supposed to be a sports venue, not concert
- And those conditions are the reasons why they do this, so pther artists in the future can do better
- Taka apologized in advance for everything especially the sound, they’re doing their best though not everything will be perfectly executed
- Taka personally likes smaller venue because he could feel the connection better but doing something impossible is a part of being a rock band
- YOASOBI: though they’re more pop, but for Taka they’re rock at heart
- Taka said he won’t talk too much because he thinks the fans go there to listen to music 🤣 That’s why he talked a lot in that live
- For the D-Day: they’re READYYYY, but the weather is unpredictable, people said he’s a “guy who brings sunny weather” BUT people said Takuya∞ brings the rain, let’s see who will win???? 🤣
- For those who are coming to 国立: bring your raincoat, jacket (the wind is chilly), don’t just wear a tee and short pants, he worries people would get sick
- Taka hopes that this will become something good, not only for them but for the future of Japanese music, the staffs are working relentlessly without sleeping too, so please respect them
- He will do his best and can’t wait to see you~
