Staff members from @BandariMA visited Mombasa Shipyard, where they were briefed on the roles and operations of Kenya Shipyards Limited (KSL).
They were thereafter given a guided tour of the Shipyard to explore its facilities and ongoing projects, led by Capt. Akenga.
The visit provided valuable insights into shipbuilding and the related services carried out at the site to the visitors.

Met the first cohort of cadets from the @BandariMA who will be joining the Global OnBoard Training (GOBT) program at the Korean Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology (KIMFT) in Busan. This is an offshoot of the MOUs, which we signed with KIMFT and Korea’s Ministry of oceans and fisheries on strengthening of Maritime Cooperation and partnership between the two countries. Consequently, Kenya was given additional slots for its cadets, in the course which begins this month. Suffice it to say, this one-year programme which includes the MANDATORY sea-time, will provide our cadets with world class maritime training and education. I, therefore, encouraged them to pursue excellence in their studies and also to be good ambassadors of Kenya.
