@stirling_j a problem we now have is that so many young players have been coached in the relational game, coaches may not have the right personnel to implement the relationist style they want. no one is developing a hamsik model anymore, someone who wishes to move with horizontal freedom
the Online Arsenal Fan™️ victim complex knows no bounds atp. it used to just be getting annoyed at referees and things gary neville said but now it’s basically the only lens they can watch football through.
this is why the positional vs relational debate can become silly at times. the first clip of this is a great example of how both can come together! relational play to get the build up then the ‘minimal width’ positional play principle to still get a runner between the defence!
man united’s results being crap were inevitable as they are a crap team, but I’m still happy it’s happened and coincided with the rashford scapegoating. horrible bunch running that club and doing that was particularly grim. getting what they deserve
on the flip side, beauty from bournemouth. a lot of question marks about most teams in the premier league’s ‘middle class’ rn, making them a very appealing choice to flirt with 55/60 points
Juventus without Dušan Vlahović:
2 — Games
4 — Shots on target
3 — Big chances missed
0 — Goals scored
…and with 9 and 11 touches in opp. box against Milan and Aston Villa respectively, that’s the fewest Juventus has ever had in a game this season in all competitions.
