Going on walks with children is often a lesson in curiosity as they stop to look at flowers & pick up favourite stones & treasures to put in pockets. But the benefits of walking itself are astounding! Weave a walk into your day for a physical & mental boost #mentalhealthmatters
Learning to love and be confident with books from birth onwards is also important (pointing at the pictures, listening or talking about what's happening etc). Libraries provide free access and welcome baby members but can seem daunting if unfamiliar.
Babies communicate long before they use words & ‘talk’ more & more when others respond to them. As well as supporting their early language, these conversations help them feel the closeness & security that they are looking for. Chatter really does matter #communicationandlanguage
The sequel to Colour & Me! (one of my favourite books ever) is here! Family & Me! is a beautiful celebration of belonging & heritage & I have 3 copies to give away! To be in with a chance of winning one simply retweet & tag someone you think would like a copy too! Good luck!
