I was having this exact conversation with @nigeriasbest on his podcast yesterday. N150,000/month is considered to be a perfectly valid monthly full-time wage in Lagos. But you basically cannot rent a studio flat for less than N1m anywhere now.
What. The. Fuck. Is. Going. On???
Bringing this back because it’s actually painful how little our schools did in this respect.
For instance, my mind can hardly comprehend distances.
‘My house is 700 metres from my school’
Bruhh… what does 700 metres look like?🥲
‘The chair for sale is 24 by 13’
Arghh… Am I supposed to have a mental picture of what that is? 🥲🥲
Instead of being defensive, i really think this is a problem our schools should tackle.
Dimensions, scale, metric and imperial system. Currency too.
Na why person go wan give lamba, talk say he receive 100billion dollars as gift. If your mind could comprehend 100 billion dollars, you won’t say that 🙂🙂

If you're a lecturer in a Nigerian university and you read this, please be better than your predecessors. I'm really begging and pleading. If there's an ethical way to make life easy for your students, please explore it.
I have seen and been taught by lecturers who brag about people not getting A in their course. It's actually from a very wicked and backward mentality. The prospects of a course is it tied to how much students suffer. Some of my friends who are currently running their PhD abroad speak of the sharp difference. Being nice to students does not make you weak. Helping them perform better does not reduce you.
Tainkyu ☺️
No student should have to memorize this in order to pass an examination.
If it is needed in the examination, it should be on the formula sheet or on a student's cheat sheet.
I don’t know who started it but this is the second time this week I’m seeing boiled egg on soup.
As a society, we need to know when we’ve gone too far.
Pre APC, do you remember seeing anything like this? Was the word “palliative” ever in our political dictionary? These people have turned us all to beggars.
What exactly is the game plan? Why are the United players treating the ball like hot yam? Every single player is opting for the long ball rather than looking to build up play with short passes.
We had Kim Min Jae to sign, we were busy bidding for Mount until Bayern hijacked the deal, we had Todibo to sign, we were stalling until Maguire crashed the whole thing, we have Amrabat to sign, we’re watching him slip away while holding on to McTominay 😑
