A man can spend months carrying exhaustion, rejection, loneliness and disappointment without anyone asking what’s happening beneath the surface.
Then one day the pain becomes visible through frustration, and suddenly the frustration is the entire story.
One thing I cannot tolerate at this grown age is people who refuse to understand cause and effect. Your actions produced this outcome. Why are you shocked by the consequences of something you deliberately set in motion, then standing there playing victim?
Please realize that being happy doesn’t always look exciting. Sometimes it’s a quiet house, bills handled, people you love doing well, and nothing stressing you out. That’s a good life too. 😌
I think my love with being alone stems from me knowing if I'm alone then no one is around to disturb me or alter any of my emotions. Everything is up to me. no one is there to misunderstand me, judge me, etc.
It's peaceful. A peace I don't feel often with other humans
One of the downsides of being an emotionally intelligent person is that u will be able & willing to see & understand things from everyone else's point of view, but ppl are rarely capable or willing to give that same grace of understanding towards u, which is frustrating at times.
I think I met the saddest version of myself this year. I’ve been feeling so drained, emotional, and lost lately. I don’t even recognize myself sometimes. I cry over things I used to be strong enough to handle, and honestly, I hate feeling this sensitive. I keep telling everyone I’m okay, but deep down, I know I’m not. I miss the old me. the one who was happier, lighter, and didn’t overthink everything. I miss having a genuine spark in me.
