Happy Birthday.

Today, I don’t just celebrate the day I was born. I celebrate the battles I’ve fought, the words I’ve written, the doors I’ve opened, and the family I’ve found.

It’s been one year since I stepped into the crypto space, not knowing how much it would shape me.

One year since I became a Scribloors member, one year since @SuperteamNG welcomed me with open arms, one year of chasing growth, failing forward, and collecting wins both big and small.

I’m proud of the courage it took to start, the discipline it took to stay, and the love it took to build alongside others.

Noni, you’ve grown. You’ve bloomed. You’ve proved that dreams don’t just sit on paper, they can live on-chain, on screens, in communities, and most importantly, inside your own heart.

I lost my laptop not to hackers, not to malware… but to my own carelessness.

I dropped it while rushing to watch a movie.

Boom, my system refused to reboot...The hard drive was gone💔.

I thought it was a small matter. Just a reboot, right?

But the repair guy looked at me like a surgeon delivering bad news.

“Whole thing is gone. You’ll need a new one.”

A new one? Me? With which money??

So, like every broke Nigerian, I went for the “cheap” route.

My Cousin’s friend.

He didn't ask for much just data money, $8.

Hope returned… until he installed Windows 7 in the year of our Lord 2025.

My laptop became a dinosaur.

$6 + $3 for transport, burned to ashes.

I tried again, another "fixer" this time...Paid $11 transport exclusive.

But what did i get in return?

An oversized, shaky hard disk....which resulted to bluescreens and random shutdowns.

Now my baby lies pretty like a wardrobe decoration.

I didn’t just lose a hard drive...I lost time, patience, and more than $20… all for the sin of not wanting to miss a movie scene.

Now I sit here, typing #my20dollarconfession on a borrowed laptop… laughing at my foolishness, but still low-key crying.

If only that $20 had gone into $RPT instead of my National Geographic documentary of laptop failures…

Funds not wasted on quack fixes, but fueling Africa’s future of payments with the sole aim of keeping value in our hands.
