I came across a very strange statistic comparing the four national teams in the World Cup semi-finals.

The statistic showed which player had contributed the most for each of the four teams in different categories. For example:

For England:

- Top scorers: Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham.
- Most assists: Anthony Gordon.
- Most key passes and big chances created: Declan Rice.
- Most successful dribbles: Eberechi Eze.
- Most accurate crosses: Noni Madueke.

The same goes for Spain and France. Every player stands out in a different area—Mbappé and Oyarzabal lead the scoring charts, Cucurella and Olise top the assist numbers, Barcola and Lamine Yamal dominate the dribbling stats, Dembélé and Rodri excel in crossing, and so on.

Then I got to Argentina…

Every single category had the same name: Lionel Messi.

Top scorer. Most key passes. Most chances created. Most successful dribbles. Most accurate crosses. Everything.

That’s where you truly realize Messi’s value.

His greatness lies in the fact that he’s the only player capable of mastering every aspect of the game. He competes with the best goalscorers—and surpasses them. He competes with the best playmakers and dribblers—and surpasses them too.

That is the essence of Messi’s footballing greatness.

He is the true definition of the complete footballer.

Cape Verde literally eliminated Uruguay out of the World Cup from group stage! 🥶

🇧🇪 Argentina would have faced Belgium in the round of 16.

But Egypt drew their last match 1-1 with Iran & Belgium won by 5-1 vs New Zealand. And Belgium became group champions & avoided Argentina! 😮

🇵🇹 Argentina would have faced Portugal in the quarter finals if Ronaldo’s team had won the group stage.

But they drew against comparatively small team like DR Congo & couldn’t beat Colombia! 😂

So if the opponent team lost & avoided Argentina in the knockout stage, is it Messi or Argentina’a fault! Strange! 😀🤯
