We welcome today’s announcement that the Bristol Mayor has reversed plans to cut £1.4 million from the libraries budget; and that 17 Bristol Libraries will not close as planned.

This year the theme for the Shakesbeer Promenade is ‘Midsummer Madness and Magic’ which gives us an opportunity to present the best bits from Hamlet (mad), Macbeth (his missus is mad) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Tempest for magic!

'My Burning Heart' - the story of Satprem 1923-2007, a rehearsed monologue by well-known Bristol actor Norman Bowler.

Norman will also be telling us about his work in Auroville in India.
