Campaign for Free Expression is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit organisation which defends and enables freedom of expression for all in Southern Africa
At the latest #CrimeStats, we held a silent demonstration outside the building where we called for protection of human rights defenders, and all those who speak out against corruption and wrongdoing. The Minister of Police, @Prof_Cachalia, came out to speak with us and expressed his support for our call.
We look forward to engaging with @DOJCD_ZA@GovernmentZA on the protection of these brave individuals and groups.

DEVELOPING | NPA spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago has confirmed that there was a credible threat to the life of prosecutor Mkhuseli Ntaba, who handled the case involving Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni. The NPA today announced Ntaba’s reinstatement.
The history of how this came about is interesting and inspiring: from what I have read, it was a synergy of two streams of mobilisation and struggle - one inside SA and another inside the ANC in exile. Inside SA, there was the formation of GLOW in 1988 by Simon Nkoli, @bevditsie
