There are over 40 money market funds available to Nigerians right now. Most people do not know half of them exist. 🇳🇬📚
First. What is a money market fund? It is a pool of money managed by professionals that invests in short-term safe instruments like Treasury bills, bank deposits, and commercial papers. You earn daily interest. You can withdraw anytime. Zero drama.
Here are the biggest ones by total assets:
Stanbic IBTC Money Market Fund — ₦2.83 Trillion
FBN Money Market Fund — ₦738.86 Billion
GT Money Market Fund—₦502.26 Billion
ARM Money Market Fund — ₦409.67 Billion
United Capital Money Market Fund — ₦226.45 Billion
AXA Mansard Money Market Fund — ₦172.74 Billion
Zenith Money Market Fund — ₦155.71 Billion
Meristem Money Market Fund — ₦117.44 Billion
Coral Money Market Fund — ₦102 Billion
Coronation Money Market Fund — ₦74.46 Billion

The key lesson: Your money does not have to choose between the stock market and doing nothing. A money market fund earns you returns daily while you decide your next move.
Minimum entry for most of these starts from ₦1,000. That is less than a plate of rice.
Your savings account is not your friend. A money market fund is. 🇳🇬

This Access bank shareholder went hard on CBN. He blames CBN for not approving dividends and running the bank with a military mentality.
He also said CBN makes bank shareholders look like orphans even after helping banks raise capital.
“I lost $1.2 billion in 2008 because I lacked structure
I blamed the banks because they kept throwing money at me instead of advising me.
The banks sold $800M of the debt to AMCON and I was left with $400M.

Oka Akoko Hunters Round Up Fulani Bandits Armed with AK47, Paralyse Their Operations with Ofo Incantation
In Oka Akoko, Ondo State, indigenous hunters rounded up Fulani bandits who were armed with AK47 rifles. The crowd moved swiftly, preventing details from leaking, but sources confirmed that the bandits could no longer move with their motorcycles. The Oluode chanted ofo on them, rendering their operations paralysed.
The operation signals a resurgence of local vigilante action, with echoes of the Agbekoya spirit of self-defence. Details are still emerging.
