Today, as Umar Zameer is acquitted, we continue to mourn for the family of the officer who lost his life in a tragic accident, and the fact that Zameer was smeared before his trial by far too many.

The encounter happened roughly a month after a terrorist killed four members of a Muslim family in London, Ont, something that came up during the trial.

Tragedy on tragedy. We hope that our justice system takes lessons from this tragedy.
