Wilted Strength 🥀
Every night, she says, “Thank you for taking care of me,”
and I’m left with mixed feelings,
a strange blend of happiness, anger and guilt.
I love the joy that rises in her eyes,
even though they look tired,
and I don’t ever want to lose that light.
Saw this on one of my Whatsapp groups.
EKEDC IN DESPERATION
_____
I installed an 18kW solar power system at my property in Lekki Phase 1, relegating EKEDC supply to a backup status. Since then, I have been having more frequent visits from personnel of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), coming to check my prepaid meter.
On one of those visits, the EKEDC team stood watching the meter for motion to indicate consumption. When the meter wasn't moving, they called me to say they suspected I had bypassed the meter. I told them I had enough solar power for my daytime needs and only used their supply as a backup for the dark hours. To prove this to them, I switched on my inverter bypass for about 2 minutes so my consumption would be from EKEDC. They saw the meter rotating normally. They were visibly upset and one of them mumbled something like "This ọ̀gá no wan gree us chop". They left.
Today (19-Oct-2026), three of them came to my premises with a notice of disconnection. The last time I loaded an EKEDC token was in July 2026 and I still had ample units left. When I asked why they would disconnect me, they said the reason was "LOR" (Loss of Revenue). They said my slow consumption indicates a faulty meter and I had to pay them ₦112,606 for loss of revenue.
I told them my meter was not faulty and that they could test it if they wanted. The lady said they were losing revenue and they had to make up for it.
I didn't know whether to laugh or to be angry. I have no intention of paying EKEDC a dime for its loss of revenue due to my taking steps to protect my interest.
But, I share this story for all who are investing in solar power to know that the DisCos are now desperate. They now have "Loss of Revenue" as a reason for your disconnection from their supply. It is simply that they are not making enough money from you.
I am waiting for EKEDC to disconnect me from their grid before I lodge a formal complaint to the regulatory authority.
We are in interesting times in Nigeria!

The more people you meet, skills you acquire, problems you solve, and opportunities you pursue, the greater your chances of changing your circumstances.
You could be running from an active shooter in a public space, and as soon as you stop to catch your breath, an Oxbridge Graduate will use that time to tell you about their Uni.
NAFDAC needs to stop shifting blame to SM and face the real problem. Public safety is too important to be reduced to press briefings and photo ops.
The real measure of effective regulation is preventing dangerous products from reaching consumers, not parading seized goods after the damage may have already been done.
i no sure say i ready for the kind fooling wey this nysc khaki dey attract bruhh 😂😂
one woman legit stood in front of me and gave me salute on the road.. i no even know wetin to do 😭😭
Fuck Off RETARD
The Italian gov will never behead any couple for "immoral sex act" on the main altar of St. Peter's Basilica. This is why most ppl despise ur faith
These so-called moderates are the worst. Extremists commit the atrocities then they jump straight in to defend them
Tomorrow marks the 6th anniversary of #EndSars where your party APC killed innocent people, and which you rode on their names to fame.
All those that died in Oct 2020 because your Tax master Tinubu needed that tollgate to be opened will roll in their graves seeing what you have become!
This is what Peter Obi said ‘’You have people at home in Nigeria today who are begging you for money. He said again Sending money only helps people survive the hardship for a short time. It doesn’t solve the real problem. The real problem is bad leadership,
So instead of just sending money, tell your relatives to vote for better leaders in the 2027 election. Thank you for accepting that your drug lord has failed.
You don turn to banga boy!
Is she aware that the foreign reserve is now at a record high?
Also is she aware of the macro economic gains?
Perhaps, she’s not aware of the major Lagos coastal highway that will change her life.
"In a democracy?" Amimal show me what you said when Benue state governor used thugs to stop Peter Obi from getting into the state. Show me what you've said all the whole that the Edo state APC chairman has repeatedly said he hates Peter Obi so much he could kill him. Show me, you disgusting sloth!
“Tinubu is the w0rst president in the history of Nigeria. Go and check, go to the street, since Tinubu became president, 67 percent of Nigerians have been cry!ng. Our president cannot even campaign, he’s scared to face Nigerians and doesn’t want other oppositions to campaign too”
