God sent His eternal Son, Jesus Christ, as a propitiation for sin, which means Jesus’s life, death and resurrection turned away the wrath of God and satisfied His righteous judgment against sin, transforming his disposition toward believers from one of holy anger to one of favor.
A Christian is a one who understands and recognizes that he has transgressed Gods Commandments and deserves nothing but the wrath of God, His eternal punishment, suffering, and condemnation. That’s truly bad news for any one of us.
However…
Come and join us on Saturday, March 8 at 9am for our Men's Breakfast as we hear a message from Pastor Clint. You will be sure to enjoy great food, fellowship, singing, and what will surely be a timely message for every man.
@JustinPetersMin The RC Church is guilty of distorting the gospel of Christ which Pope Francis is the Head. Soon the Pope will find out the truth of Paul’s words, “If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed” (Gal1:9)
Jesus is active and present in the Church, and the Church is the body of Christ.
Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. 1 Corinthians 12:27
I’m definitely aware of my sin and imperfection… however I’m forever thankful for the Jesus and His perfection, through His shed blood on the cross I am redeemed and eternally a child of the Living God.
“I have been a women’s lacrosse coach for more than 27 years.
“I have been inducted into three halls of fame for coaching and contributing to the growth of lacrosse, and there is an award in my name.
“Oberlin College removed me from coaching women’s lacrosse after I chose to publicly tell my story and refused to be silent or back down about my belief that men—no matter how they self-identify—should not be allowed to compete in women’s sporting events.”
Kim Russell, Former Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Oberlin College
God’s word does not say that a husband should be the head of his wife but that he is the head of his wife (Eph 3:23; 1 Cor 11:3).
Thus the key character question that every husband must face is not whether he will be the head but what kind of head he will be.
He will either embrace his calling to be the sacrificial leader, protector, and provider, or he will abdicate that calling and lead his family into dysfunction and misery.
But for better or for worse, he is the head and will give an account to God for how he stewarded that calling.
If someone complimented me and then spoke negatively about a giant like John MacArthur, I would smile and say, “Friend, debating doctrine is fair game, but MacArthur’s worthy of MASSIVE HONOR, and whether we win or lose down here, I assure you he’ll be way ahead of me up there.”
@elliesangelwing This verse can be perplexing for some and life-giving for others:
Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins.
Thank you Jesus for sacrificing your life so that we can be set free now and live with you forever!
Mike
You missed the point. You did not come to me privately before rebuking me publicly (Nor were you obligated to do so because public teaching is open to public critique). I am simply pointing out that people who make the argument you make fail to follow their own advice. 100% of the time this is true. Without fail the people who rebuke me for not going to someone privately first before offering public rebuke themselves rebuke me publicly before coming to me privately. Without fail.
As for planks and splinters/specks, the only way I would be in violation of Matthew 7:1-5 is if I was doing the very things I accuse Hinn and Locke of doing; i.e. offering false prophecies, lying, manufacturing fake signs and wonders, and exploiting the poor and sick for personal financial gain. If I was doing these things as they are, then yes, I would be in violation of Jesus' teaching.
But I'm doing none of those things. When you see me doing them - any of them - please do rebuke me (and you may do so publicly).
R&B singer Jill Scott’s net worth is $12M. She’s made a fortune in the very America she claims is so oppressive and sung such a nonsensical, disgraceful desecration of our National Anthem, with such disdain fervor. The ONLY black shackled slaves in America are the ideological plantation slaves that refuse to leave. GTFO if you hate it here.
Enjoy Whitney Houston’s vocal gift from God, a voice that gave one emotional goosebumps while soulfully inspired American pride, as she performed the best EVER National Anthem🇺🇸
