// thoughts on leadership
(a thread)
When I lead, I know that the easy thing to do is a make a plan & ask everyone to follow it—to look for people who like my ideas & will implement them.
But that’s not consistent with being anti-racist, equitable, & inclusive.
It's so strange to me how much people in this country love pets and advocate for animal rescue....but so many landlords vehemently won't allow it + are supported by the law.
Can we start using this as fun/easy way to explain systemic oppression to people?
I never thought the mainstream would ever know about #IBLP and #BillGothard. I think I need to write my story. Growing up in the program, #homeschooling, #JoshuaGeneration, attending #JourneyToTheHeart, etc.
What are your burning questions? Why would you want to read about it?
That part👇🏼. We are not exempt from white supremacist ideology. This is why we need accountability spaces within our community. And more conversations about our own anti-Blackness and internalized racism.
(Cue white Latiné folks with commentary about being “RACIALIZED.”)
"The idea that a Hispanic American could be a white supremacist may seem confounding to those wedded to the idea that racial identity is both a biological fact and fixed throughout time," @adamserwer writes. "But neither is true." https://t.co/qPgOIJNSlT

I am brave enough to dream big.
I ain’t afraid to walk away from more profit ‘cause I’d rather do something that I really love and take the pay cut.
I will never waiver or change who I am just to try and gain some credibility to feel accepted by by a stranger.
