by no means is this sequel perfect (i could’ve done without the brief romance plotline with andy) but i would be lying if i didn’t say i was moved to tears. the commentary on the current state of journalism- tech oligarchs, ai, and dying art- really carries through. loose ends are tied organically and the tonal shift at the halfway mark switches this movie from decently good to great. the chemistry with the original cast is palpable. 4/5.
