@MittuNaeri Why do u think ppl would suddenly be ok if vanguard runs at ring 1 instead of ring 0? Ppl would be saying the same things they're saying rn even if they moved vanguard from ring 0 to ring 1. Ppl want it to run at ring 3, in which case it's usless for the anticheat to even exist

@MittuNaeri Not knowledgeable enough to give accurate information, but the cheats run at ring 0. What relation does hypervisor running at ring 1 have to do with this?

AI Models are hit or miss and more than half of the time they give wrong flags or fail to detect.

Ik ring 1 and 2 is not used in windows. I was just giving an (what if) example.

@soundvuitex Since you're a senior kernel debug engineer, why don't u suggest a better alternate solution. Lets suppose vanguard runs at ring 3 or 2, but the cheat itself is running at kernel level, how do u expect riot to detect those cheats?

@MittuNaeri That's not the solution. How can vanguard detect the cheat while being on ring 2 or 3 if the cheat itself is at kernel level. An anticheat running at ring 2 or 3 can't detect a cheat running at ring 0. How would riot stop the cheaters if they can't detect them in the first place.

I never asked u to explain why it's problematic for a third party driver to run at kernel level.
I asked u to give a better alternate solution to stop DMA cheating devices
