But it's cherry-picked & inaccurate. Let's compare UPA (2014) vs NDA (2025) fuel facts fairly (sources: EIA, Statista, RBI, IMF, PIB, Reuters, etc.).

Crude Oil: Not $105.91—2014 avg Brent ~$99/bbl. 2025 avg so far ~$72/bbl (down from highs due to global factors like OPEC/wars).

Russian Discount: 0% in 2014 (minimal imports). Now ~5% ($3-4 off Brent), not 20%—saved India ~$13B in imports since 2022.

Ethanol Mix: ~1.5% in 2014 to 20% in 2025 (hit early)—cuts crude needs by 10-15%, saves ~$4B/yr forex, boosts farmers/emissions reduction.

Petrol Price (Delhi): ₹72.26 in 2014 to ₹94.77 now. But cumulative CPI inflation ~70% (2014-2025)—adjusts 2014 price to ~₹123 today. So real terms, ~23% cheaper despite volatility.
