Basic commands I learned and used:

As a beginner learning NGINX, my journey started with a problem.

I was on Windows.

Tried installing NGINX natively and quickly realized:
• No real first-class support
• Path issues, service issues
• Docs mostly assume Linux

Within minutes, NGINX was up and running.
No OS fights. No setup pain.
Once I was comfortable locally, I moved to the real deal.

I spun up an AWS EC2 instance (Ubuntu) and finally experienced NGINX the way it’s meant to be used.

As a beginner, this wasn’t just about installing a tool.
It was about understanding:
Why modern systems scale the way they do.
NGINX didn’t just solve technical problems.
It solved architectural limitations of the past.

Then came the most satisfying part:
Implementing a reverse proxy.
NGINX sitting in front,
Routing traffic to my backend service,
Handling connections efficiently.

Before NGINX:
Apache followed a process-based model.
More users = more processes = more memory
