“We were the most humiliated people, then Allah honored us with Islam; so whenever we seek honor through something other than what Allah honored us with, Allah will humiliate us.”
– Umar Ibn Al Khattab رضي الله عنه
Sheikh Salih al Usaymi حفظه اللّٰه:
“Some people assume that the key to provision is a well-paying job and that the key to health is effective medicine. But they overlook that both can come through a heard supplication, a raised good deed , or a secret charity. So ask Allah, do good deeds and extend your hands in charity and you will never be deprived of your Lord’s bounty.”
If you act upon this advice, then do not worry about what you miss out on from this world:
Concern yourself with who you are in the sight of Allah, and strive to be as Allah wants you to be.”
@bookslattes BookTok has sold me some amazing books.
Unfortunately, it’s also sold me some of the absolute worst books I’ve ever read. 🤦
The hype be making it sound like a masterpiece, then you read it and spend the entire book wondering what exactly went viral!
Imam Ibn Taymeeyah رحمه الله said:
“Sufyaan Bin 'Uayaynah was asked about feeling sadness for an unknown reason.
He said: 'It is a sin which you desired to do secretly but you did not perform it, so you were rewarded with sadness for it.'
Therefore, sins have a penalty, secret sins are sanctioned secretly and public sins are sanctioned publicly.”
