I really gave highguard a shot but man... its pretty ASS. That game needed serious open playtesting or more time in the oven.
I see the vision, but its just not there right now.
10 games of highguard, full thoughts.
3v3 is horrible for map size and game mode, needs at least 5v5 or 10v10.
Gunplay is floaty and has insane input lag
Lack of basic QOL and settings (toggle ads/crouch, numeric sens adjustment, FPS counter)
Horrible performance 4090 and a 9950x3d barely pushing 140fps.
DLSS causing extreme blurriness, I genuinely feel like I am not wearing my glasses while playing this game.
Character design is all over the place and you genuinely can't match any of their aesthetics together at all.
Why plant at A or B when you can just plant on the central core and end the game in 1 plant?
Looting phase of the game just doesn't need to exist, so much space on the map that is just completely unused because everyone should just gravitate to the shield breaker.
Side note, everyone who play tested this and genuinely thought it was in a good state HAD to of been paid a bag because there is absolutely no fucking way. This is genuinely one of the worst games i've played in a very long time and i'm not even just saying that to hate. I genuinely had decent expectations for this game lol
Imagine having an ego as a controller player using aim assist... it's like a kid bragging that he's rich because his parents buy him everything.
He's not rich, his parents are rich. And you can't aim, the developers just spoil you with aim assist while nerfing mouse aimers.
ngl I’m a bit jealous of @rileycs_ having some goated aim to the point the mainstream can’t distinguish it from cheats. On top of that getting some great exposure, must be nice lol. The transphobia’s lame tho
