On the surface, the 1-yr $4.775M offer sheet on Barrett Hayton seems like an easy match.

The problem is, if Utah matches they can't trade him for a full year.

That would walk Hayton straight to UFA status and Utah could lose him for nothing.

Basically we did what Florida did and drafted a baby Nico to play 3C the way Florida drafted Lundell and had barkov teach him the ropes. “Hardest worker in the draft”. Devils could use some more hard workers after watching their effort last year #njdevils
