Narrated 'Aisha:
(the wife of the Prophet) Allah's Apostle said, "No calamity befalls a Muslim but that Allah expiates some of his sins because of it, even though it were the prick he receives from a thorn."
If you can’t think of something good during a time of sadness
"No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that."
I had to accept a plan without knowing it. SubhanAllar that's the thing about Tawakkul. It feels like you are accepting defeat when in reality you are granting your heart so much ease by accepting that you don't own anything. You don't deserve anything. Everything that is given -
“The Last Hour will not come before wealth becomes
abundant and overflowing, so much so that a man takes
Zakat out of his property and cannot find anyone to
accept it from him and till the land of Arabia reverts to
meadows and rivers.”
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:
“Whoever increases in worry and sadness must recite:
لا حول ولا قوة الا بالله
Laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa Billaah
There is no power and no strength except with Allaah”
[زاد المعاد ٤/١٨٣]
