A Christian who neglects prayer risks losing the strength to stand in every area of life. A strong prayer life is essential for standing firm, overcoming temptation, and walking in God’s will. Don’t neglect prayer. Guard it, prioritize it, and return to it daily. When prayer becomes weak, spiritual strength begins to fade, but when you remain on your knees, you remain positioned to stand.
When God is getting ready to lift you, He does not start with the open door. He starts with the process.
First, He strips. Not to punish you, but to loosen your grip on what was never meant to stay. Moses spent years in the wilderness before he ever faced Pharaoh. Ruth lost her husband and her home before she walked into Boaz’s field. Peter denied Jesus before he was trusted to feed the flock. What feels like loss is often God clearing the ground. The thing that broke you was not the end of the story. It was the end of the version of you that could not carry what is coming.
Then He shapes. A blessing you are not ready for will crush you. So He works on the heart first. Pride gets quiet. Fear loses its grip. The shortcuts you trusted stop working. Waiting starts to feel like the lesson, not the delay. This is not God withholding. This is God fitting you for weight you have never held. Fire does not ruin gold. It shows what was always there.
Then He shows. After the stripping and the shaping, the hidden thing starts to surface. The no that hurt you becomes the reason the right yes landed. The season you called wasted becomes the proof you can point to. You will not look back angry. You will look back and see the setup. Every shut door was making space for the one with your name on it.
Philippians 1:6. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion. Stay steady in the stripping. Stay soft in the shaping. The showing is closer than the pain makes it feel. The same God who let the ground shake is the One building what comes next.
If this met you where you are, say Amen and send it to someone still in the middle of their process.
