#Pakistan🇵🇰 The International Human Rights Foundation (IHRF) solemnly brings to the global community's attention a series of profoundly troubling developments in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the world's fifth most populous nation and a state of significant geopolitical stature, endowed with nuclear capabilities and historically intertwined in partnerships with the United States and the United Kingdom.

It has been credibly reported that the nation's military establishment, in collusion with non-state actors of considerable notoriety, has engaged in a systematic distortion of the democratic process, notably through the manipulation of electoral outcomes, extrajudicial executions, arbitrary arrests, forced disappearances, torture, excessive use of force, repression of peaceful protests, property theft, embezzlement, political and judicial persecution, filing of false charges, lawfare, mediafare, among other illegitimate means.

The most revered political figure in the country, former Prime Minister Mr. Imran Khan (@ImranKhanPTI), has been subjected to detention under charges that many international observers deem to be without substantive merit.

Compounding these grave concerns are credible allegations of egregious human rights violations, including the targeted abduction and extrajudicial termination of journalistic voices, the imposition of draconian restrictions on digital communication platforms, and the use of excessive force against nonviolent demonstrators.

Particularly alarming is the persecution faced by members and affiliates of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI, @PTIofficial), a political entity that enjoys considerable grassroots support. #Pakistan🇵🇰 As the International Human Rights Foundation (IHRF), we solemnly appeal to the international community to highlight the disturbing pattern of arbitrary arrests of innocent journalists in Pakistan who courageously criticise government corruption. The recent arrest of journalist Imran Riaz Khan (@ImranRiazKhan), who has been subjected to enforced disappearance and torture in custody in the past, is yet another example of the current regime's gross human rights abuses. Mr Khan's consistent and vocal opposition to the regime's unconstitutional activities, including electoral fraud and suppression of free speech, underlines the urgent need for global awareness and intervention.

The situation in Pakistan has reached an alarming level of authoritarianism, characterised by the muzzling of mainstream media, abduction and torture of journalists, threats to their families, internet shutdowns and enforced disappearances of social media activists. The assassination of respected investigative journalist Arshad Sharif is yet another reminder of the extreme risks faced by those who dare to speak out. As a human rights organisation, we condemn these acts of blatant fascism and call on the international community to stand in solidarity with Pakistan's journalists and work for their safety, freedom of expression and the restoration of democratic principles.

میاں محمود الرشید کو مبیّنہ طور پرجیل میں کل سینے میں شدید درد کی شکایت ہوئی۔ انہیں اسپتال لے جایا گیا مگر ڈاکٹرز کیجانب سے زیرِ نگرانی و نگہداشت رکھنے کے مشورے کے باوجود انہیں زبردستی جیل واپس منتقل کردیا گیا۔

دل کے سنگین عارضے میں مبتلا ایک 70 سالہ ضعیف شخص کو اس شدید گرمی میں 75 روز سے جیل میں قید کررکھا ہے۔

محض تحریک انصاف سے علیحدگی اختیار کرنے سے انکار کے جُرم کی پاداش میں انہیں ایسی اذیّت اور غیرانسانی سلوک کا نشانہ بنایا جارہا ہے۔

میں پھر سے اپنی عدلیہ اور انسانی حقوق کی تنظیموں سے ملتمس ہوں کہ (انسانی حقوق کی بہیمانہ خلاف ورزیوں کے) اس معاملے پر ایک ٹھوس مؤقف اختیار کریں اور شہریوں کے بنیادی حقوق کا تحفّظ کریں۔
