.@NWSTopeka decent straight line wind damage seen north of 12th St on Tennessee, Lawrence KS at around 1am. Damage was done before that as we returned to town. Largest healthy branch snap was probably 8-10”, with the downed tree mostly rotted out inside.
@DareSayAgain@DF_UniatePapist Unfortunately if you want to be taken seriously you should consider writing your own thoughts in your own words, not AI. It makes it seem like you don’t really know what’s going on and makes it seem like you’re not even interested in engaging in the argument.
Found some tree damage this morning in Lawrence just east of KU Campus @NWSTopeka, with some pretty thick branches snapped. Also, found no visible hail damage anywhere on KU campus despite it waking me up at 5am or so.

We spotted a tornado with an associated ground circulation from around 6:26-6:30pm, approx. 8 miles S Council Grove. We were looking east, and saw a ground circulation. We later saw some damage on the ground. The GPS location is where we saw the damage pictured.
.@NWSTopeka got some minor ice accumulation within the last hour - precipitation switched from sleet to freezing rain, now appears to just be classic cold rain.
Now is as good a time as any to remind everyone that the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City (@NLBMuseumKC) exists to tell a deeply important American story -- one that is ultimately about triumph. Our history, good and bad, is all we have. Learning it is our duty.
Unfortunately, due to limited staff availability, we will have to cancel our student volunteer program for 2025 and suspend new arrangements for prospective meteorology students to shadow at our office until further notice. We are very sorry for these developments!

Willie Mays, one of the greatest players in baseball history, died Tuesday at 93. Owner of 660 home runs, a dozen Gold Gloves and countless indelible moments, the Say Hey Kid epitomized the game during its golden era in an unparalleled 23-year career. A huge loss for baseball.
We are heartbroken to learn of the passing of Hall of Famer Willie Mays, one of the most exciting all-around players in the history of our sport.
Mays was a two-time MVP, 24-time All-Star, 12-time Gold Glove Award winner, and a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
In commemoration of "The Catch" as perhaps the most famous play in the history of the Fall Classic, the World Series MVP Award was named in his honor in 2017.
