As someone who grew up a hockey guy but has been trying to evolve into a basketball guy too, this version of the NBA is so hard to watch.
In 20 years we’ll be watching Netflix documentaries on the 2020’s corrupt OKC flop officiating just like we did with Tim Donaghy. Blatant.
When asked about Victor Wembanyama's 12 blocks in Game 1, Chris Finch said that at least 4 of the 12 were goaltends, and that it was "alarming" that Wembanyama wasn't called for a single goaltend.
"When we looked at em, at least four of them were goaltending... To me, it's a little alarming that none of them were called. Here's a generational shot blocker, who is 7'6", who goes after everything, and there's no heightened awareness that these blocks could be goaltends... So let's just say there were four, that's eight points. You know the value of eight points in an NBA game? It's massive. That's also 33% of his blocks were goaltending uncalled. If I were to give you a 33% raise, you'd like that, right?"
This is what happens when your ownership group perennially talks about contention like the Dallas Cowboys and then proceeds to spend like the Cincinnati Bengals 🤷♂️
The Pohlads are finally reaping what they’ve sowed for 40 years.
Rockets led by 13 in OVERTIME and the Wolves scored 15 in a row. There are bodies and blood everywhere. Sengun’s lip is ripped off his body. Scott Foster Montreal Screwjobbed Naz Reid out of the game. Rudy Gobert blocked a KD jumper with the game on the line after being broken off. Rockets were 23/23 from the line and KD MISSED DOWN TWO 3 SECONDS LEFT. THEY SOMEHOW GOT THE BALL BACK. NO GOOD. THEY BLEW IT AGAIN. BUT THEY DIDNT BLOW IT BECAUSE THEY WERE DOWN DOUBLE DIGITS LATE. Adam Silver this is for youuuu
@ESPNAssignDesk You do not have permission to use it — as I’ve told you numerous times in DMs. Shouldn’t have laid off all those reporters if you wanted locker room content.
It would be the most Minnesota sports thing ever to let Sam Darnold walk for Zach Wilson 2.0 and have him go on to win a Super Bowl the very next season
@LaVelleNeal To be fair clocking it would’ve left them with a near 60-yd FG on 4th down, but how on earth they don’t have the awareness to run a short route and pick up 5-10 yards for a more manageable attempt is truly brutal.
The Bears got 1 play off in 26 seconds of a 2-minute drill *with a timeout*
I’m thankful that my NFL team has a basic understanding of clock management 😅
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
