You shouldn’t need to live with another person in order to afford rent. As an adult with a full time job you should be able to afford a 1br as a single person. “Just get a roommate” we should be able to afford our own space as fully grown, independent, working adults. I’d rather eat toenails than have a roommate. I deserve my own space. Everyone does, if they want it.
