@doggart123 they just got £15m from the Rogers to Chelsea deal. It’ll be most of that + sell-on and matching rights. Pretty decent deal for us, and allows him to go and play regularly

@georgebann People are still used to old Spurs where we were scared of spending big money. Ultimately we paid more to both club and player and won the race. United still live in the past thinking they're the important team in the league.

@simonyemane @Lilywhite_Rose I'd agree about mortgaging our future if we were going after 28+ year olds with the money. But the players we're buying are younger (Tonali and JP 26, Fernandes 21) and are flexible, dependable players that different managers can rely on.
